The Salt River Project will use the SDI-2 to test the addition of real time video security and surveillance features to its state of the art communications network.

Gary Weber, Hydrology Instrumentation & Equipment Specialist of the Salt River Project, commented, "We are anxious at SRP to install the SDI-2 to optically monitor river water levels. The initial installation will be solar powered, located 80 miles from our headquarters in a very rugged area. Capturing real time video wirelessly over that distance will give us a new and powerful capability."
